Pausing a domain stops its daily scans and uptime checks without deleting anything — useful when a site goes into maintenance, gets decommissioned, or you just want to quiet its alerts for a while. Until today, that pause only ever applied to the single row you clicked "Pause" on, which meant pausing a busy property's main domain still left every one of its subdomains scanning and alerting in the background.
What changed
Pause a main domain now, and every subdomain under it pauses along with it in the same click — no need to hunt down and pause each one individually. The status message tells you how many subdomains came along for the ride.
Subdomains still pause independently
The reverse doesn't hold: pausing (or resuming) a single subdomain only ever affects that subdomain. Its main domain and any sibling subdomains keep scanning normally. This lets you quiet one noisy subdomain — a staging or demo environment, say — without touching monitoring for the rest of the property.
What this means for you
If you manage a domain with several subdomains under our Scan for Subdomains feature, pausing the main domain is now a one-click way to pause the whole property. Resuming still works the same way per domain, so you're always in control of exactly which parts come back online.
